$2740.00 Raised --
Wow!!

Another successful year - Delivery day being right on Valentine's Day was really cool - everyone was wearing red and the places seemed so festive!  The deliveries to all 7 locations were really great! Your generous donations were spent on the following:

  • 320 Goodie Bags & Cards  (260 Adults, 60 kids) = $1525
  • Donations to the Crisis Nursery = $330 *
  • Check for the scholarship fund at KCC = $500
  • Donations to the Hope Lodge = $385 *

Donations to the Crisis Nursery and to Hope Lodge were of items that the locations had on their "Wish List" for this month:

Crisis Nursery donations included:  Lot's of Diapers, Pull-Ups, hair accessories, socks, and two educational Wii Games.

Hope Lodge donations included:  enough sheets, and towels, washcloths, etc. for 8 rooms, 40 boxes of girl scout cookies, and several other items that were collected by the Confirmation Class at Our Father's Lutheran Church in Rockford.

Note:  The confirmation kids at Our Father's Lutheran Church raised over $90 to contribute to Carly's Project, and collected several items for the Hope Lodge -- great job guys!!

We were surprised when KARE11 reporter Kyle Porter called to say that he would like to meet us at Kids Care Connection, and also went with us to the Golden Living Center.  He filmed Carly's deliveries and interviewed her.  The segment aired on KARE11 news at 4pm on Friday, February 12, and at 6pm on Saturday, February 13 -- very exciting.   If you would like to check it out - click here to see the video (video will be on the right side of the screen).

We would like to thank everyone who has donated and for your great notes of encouragement and generous support!!!!!  Carly has loved getting the mail!
